The Pharmastudio was born of an MFA research thesis in 2002. Using images of pharmaceuticals, graphic designer Ann Marie Woolsey has created a thought-provoking body of work that examines the role of commercial imagery in our heavily medicated lives.


BIO

Ann Marie Woolsey is a graphic designer and writer.

She holds an MFA in Intermedia Design from The State University of New York at New Paltz and a BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College.

Her work has been exhibited at the New York State MFA Thesis show at Hunter College in 2002, 'Open Ends' exhibit at SUNY Ulster's Muroff Kotler Gallery in 2005, and AS220 in Providence, Rhode Island.

Her writing has appeared in the Providence Phoenix and several other Rhode Island newspapers.
